Intergalactic Skeet Shoot

February 25, 1942 as well as July 12, 1952 were some of the most puzzeling cases yet. The Febuary incident also known as the "Battle for Los Angeles" happened just after Pearl Harbor's attack. UFO's detected on radar were first believed attacking Japanese planes. Fort Mac Auther base in San Pedro shut off the main power suppy to the city so they could place spotlights on the nearing large blips. Once spotted they opened fire with aint-aircraft artillary and cannon rounds. Altogether shooting over 1,400 shells while the 3 UFO's flew over the main part of L.A under the glow of the huge military spotlights. Unfortunatly the shells all bounced off the UFO's and some landed on the houses of the residents killing 6 people and damaging property.

The later incident in 1952 otherwise known as the "D.C flap" was a filmed flyover of many UFO's over the White House. In yet another radar confirmed incident, the pattern of these craft was very irracdic and not from planes from this world. President Harry Truman had jets try to observe the strange craft but were not able to keep up. A possible shoot down order was almost placed, but after the "Battle for Los Angeles" air raid there is doubt how effective a shoot down order would have been.
